A cochlear implant is a prosthetic replacement, a medical device designed to bypass damaged parts of the inner ear and is often called a "bionic ear”. It is a device that restores useful hearing in severely to profound deaf people ,when the organ of hearing situated in the inner ear has not developed or is destroyed by 
disease or injury. It bypasses the inner ear and provides information to the hearing centers through direct stimulation of the hearing nerve.

Do you have cold & cough -please follow few tips to allow you work,avoid suffering and also protect others:
Sneeze and cough inside the crook of your elbow -not into your hands.Avoid using a handkerchief soiled allover,use paper napkin,using mask is best;Wash your hands often with soap and water and try to avoid shaking hands or contact with others,distance of 2-3 ft is best.Rest and avoid exertion,drink plenty of fluids (juices,water,soup but avoid soda n energy drinks,alcohol n coffee),ice chips if soreness /dryness in throat,saline spray if stuffy nose;Take vitamin c/anti-cold/paracetamol tablets or cough syrup /lozenges as needed;avoid smoke; take steam or medicated inhalations;avoid forceful nose blowing/cleaning.If cold-cough is persisting beyond 7 days or if it is severe even early on,take a ENT consultation.those with crooked nose bone/deviated septum etc must consider surgery.if thick phlegm or expectoration in nose- throat,take mucous thinning drugs as well.Do not touch mobile,key,purse or Rupees,basin tape,door handle etc with your infected hands 'think protecting your DOCTOR and others.
